Beginning in 1948, Destin’s Annual Deep-Sea Fishing Rodeo has continuously attracted over 30,000 participants from across the United States to the now famously-recognized, “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village”. What began as a three-day special weekend event, has evolved into a month-long October Fishing Rodeo credited with lengthening the Destin tourist season. From elite-level championship fishing teams to children and teens, there is something for marine salt water anglers of all ages to experience during Destin’s Fishing Rodeo. Winners receive awards such as fine rods and reels, fishing trips, weekend stays, and everyone’s favorite, bragging rights and cash.
