Mike Giammaresi

Michael is our Head Professional here at Regatta Bay and one of the most sought out teachers in Destin, FL. He is an accomplished player having played in a number of major USGA events. He was a nationally ranked collegiate player at the University of North Florida and started in the golf industry as a teaching professional in Tampa, Florida at the Rick Bradshaw/Jim Dent School of golf before transitioning to an assistant professional role at San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida. During his tenure there, his student base consisted of players ranging from beginners to accomplished PGA professionals and tour players. Mike is a gifted teacher and his strong knowledge of the game and swing mechanics is complemented by his exceptional ability to communicate this understanding to his students. Michael is passionate in his teaching, and brings a wonderful personality to the Regatta Bay Team.

Chris Bruns

Chris graduated from College at Campbell University. He participated in Campbell’s Golf Management program and is a certified PGA Professional. Originally from upstate New York, Chris has completed internships at Irondequoit Country club, Enjoie Golf Club, and Lakewood Golf and Country Club in Tennessee. Chris has a passion for golf instruction for both juniors and adults alike. His extraordinary golf knowledge combined with his ability to explain the necessary fundamentals in a clear and concise manner is why he is a wonderful addition to the Regatta Bay Team.

Chris Speight

Originally from Blytheville Arkansas, Chris has been around golf his whole life. Growing up, Chris competed in the Arkansas State Golf Association and American Junior Golf Association. During his junior career he ranked as low as 26 in the world wide junior rankings. He went on to play division one golf at the University of Arkansas and University of Southern Mississippi. During his college years he won both individual and team titles, and competed for SEC and conference USA championships. After graduating, Chris turned to professional golf, competing on the Hooters Tour, Tight Lies Tour, Emerald Coast pro tour, Tar Heel Tour, as well as PGA and Nation Wide qualifiers. For the past ten years Chris, has used his skill and knowledge to help juniors and adults sharpen their craft. He has helped many juniors to find their spot playing at the college level, while also helping adults compete in local and club events. Chris is a certified TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) instructor, and is the Panhandle’s top Titleist club fitter. This expertise enables him to analyze a golfer’s body movements and give corrections with golf specific training exercises to help players get the most out of their game. In addition, Chris’s knowledge as a professional club fitter allows him to check all clubs to make sure they fit as far as loft, lie, and flex.
